So if you remember from last week, I mentioned I was going to be making White Chocolate covered Pumpkin Truffles and Scalloped Potatoes and that it would be posted on Saturday, which was yesterday for those of you who don't know what today is. To quickly explain what happened, I told my dad to buy the pumpkin puree. When he came home, he "forgot" the pumpkin puree but he did come home with 2 bags of bread from Nova Era, 2 bags of Hamburger Buns, 4 bags of bagels, 1 bag of diamond rolls, 2 bags of english muffins, 3 bags of toast bread and 2 containers of mini chocolate chip muffins. So for the next week, I'll be eating bagels for breakfast, cheese sandwiches for lunch, and I guess Hamburgers for dinner. All I can really say is you had one job dad, one job.
I did however make the Scalloped Potatoes and I have got to say they came out better this time than the first time when I had to make it for the lab at school. You might be asking why I am not posting that instead of these Churros? Well I forgot to take a picture of it and I like to write my posts and have pictures. I have some leftover but it got demolished and it doesn't look presentable so I had to scratch that. To use a real life comparison, taking a picture of it now and posting it would be like Toronto girls who go out on a really hot day during the summer with a DQ cake on their face and Instagram a picture with no filter. It just looks like a mess. Side note, ladies, if you want to wear make-up, go ahead. Just make sure you do it properly. I always laugh when I see a girl with make-up on that makes her look like she's Latina and her neck is the color of Liam Robinson. For those of you who don't know who Liam Robinson is, he's white.

Now you know why I made Churros. They were really easy to make and were ready in about 20 minutes thanks to the help of my madre. I'm not going to go into detail or step-by-step but if you really want to know how to make them send me a message on Twitter or send me an e-mail.
After I made the Churro mixture in a bowl, I used my piping kit which my aunt gave me for Christmas. Shout-out to Aunt Debbie for the piping kit and who has been 25 years old for the past 18 years. Go figure.
I used the star-tip for making the Churros just because that's the design it has on the outside when you buy them. Let them crisp up in hot oil and then let them dry on some paper towels. After the oil has all been dried off, they are pretty much ready. You can eat them plain or you can sprinkle sugar on them. They are all yours, do what you want and have your way with them. Don't take that sentence in a weird way.
For the chocolate sauce, I was just going to dip them in Nutella but I think it's too thick so I decided to melt some chocolate my grandma bought me. I've watched many videos where they use a bit of instant coffee or espresso powder in chocolate desserts. Anything from chocolate lava cake to chocolate brownies. They said that it brings out the chocolate flavor even more and enhances it. So I put some in to see if it was true or not. I can actually agree with them to a certain point. If you put the right amount, it will but if you over do it, it will be too strong of a coffee taste. It does enhance it a bit, but I put too much so you really got that coffee flavor, but I'm sure if I went a bit easy on the espresso powder it would have tasted better. In the end, it was still good. It was creamy and dripped off the spoon unlike if I were to use Nutella, it would have just stuck on the spoon.

They were really easy to make and tasted good. It could be better, but for the first time ever making Churros, I'd say I did a really good job. I don't know if any of you make Churros but if you do and you would be willing to give me your recipe, e-mail me with it. I just want to see how you make your Churros.
That is it for this week. Next Sunday I have CPR training for school so I'm not sure if I will be posting or not, but I am going to try my best. If I do, it will most likely be something for breakfast. If you have some breakfast suggestions let me know on Twitter or e-mail me. I'll try my best to make what you request. Have a good Thanksgiving everyone. :)
